Members and friends of the First Baptist Church of Delaware, the Marion Baptist Association, and the wider Christian family gathered to celebrate the ordination of Rev. Sam Chesser to the ministry. The First Baptist Church of Delaware is pastored by the Rev. Tim Chesser, who is also Sam's father. As a seminary student Sam served as pastor of the West Mansfield Baptist Church. Sam and his wife leave this week to Connecticut where he will begin his first pastorate as an ordained American Baptist minister.
