It is with great sadness that we report the recent death of our sister and colleague in ministry - Rev. Rachel Lee. Rachel died suddenly of a stroke on Tuesday morning, December 30. Rachel served the American Baptist Churches faithfully for many years, most recently as the co-interim pastor with husband Alvin of the First Baptist Church of Middletown and as the ABC/Ohio Minister of Congregational Development for the southwest area.
She leaves behind her husband Alvin, a son and daughter, several grandchildren, and many friends. We’re grieved because of our loss, but her “home going” makes the kingdom of heaven an even richer place. Please keep Alvin and their family in your prayers as they deal with this sudden loss. Rachel will be deeply missed by all.
Visitation was held on Friday evening, January 2 with the funeral on Saturday morning, January 3 at First Baptist Church, 4500 Riverview Ave., Middletown, Ohio 45042.
