Job Description:
FBC St. Paris seeks a passionate and committed individual for the role of Paid Ministry Intern to work with teens and young adults. This is a hands-on experience to grow and shape the next generation of leaders, while gaining valuable experience in a small church setting. The intern will work closely with the pastor, appropriate church boards, and church members to develop and implement programs that meet the needs of youth in our congregation and community.

Responsibilities:
- Work with the youth leadership team to plan, organize, and execute events, programs, and retreats for teens and young adults.
- Assist with leading worship services, Bible studies, small groups, and other ministry opportunities.
- Participate in community outreach events to engage with young people.
- Help create social media content and continue developing digital strategies for ministry outreach.
- Participate in weekly meetings to discuss progress, challenges and receive mentorship from senior pastor.
Qualifications:
- Must have completed high school education (or equivalent) with a commitment to continued learning.
- Preference to those actively pursuing a degree in ministry, theology, or related field.
- Experience working with youth is preferred but not required.
- Must be self-motivated, organized, flexible, willing to learn, and have a heart for ministry.
- A clear understanding of Christian faith and its practices.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
This is a paid internship position for up to 15 hours per week. The intern will report directly to the pastor and will have various opportunities for professional growth through training and mentoring.
Process to Hire: The individual will interview with the pastor and then the CE Board which will make a recommendation to Budget & Finance. The recommendation must be from both the pastor and CE Board for the person to meet with Budget & Finance. Budget & Finance will then also interview the person and make the final hiring decision on behalf of the church.
Compensation: Pay will be $1,000 per month for a yearly total of $12,000. Approved ministry expenses will also be reimbursed along with ministry related travel.
