The 198th Annual Gathering of the American Baptist Churches of Ohio was held on October 15-16, 2024 at the Crowne-Plaza Hotel – Columbus North.
“UNITED IN CHRIST, ROOTED IN LOVE,” based on Jesus' words in John 13:34-35 was the theme of our Gathering.

The “Gathering” took place over two days beginning at 10 am on Tuesday and concluding at 2 pm on Wednesday.
We were excited to have Dr. J. R. Briggs of Kairos Partnerships as the guest speaker for a workshop titled: Creating a Culture of Discipleship in the Local Church – and in a Fresh Expression and the keynote speaker for our worship service. Dr. Briggs states that he “lives with a clear focused calling: to serve, guide, and equip hungry leaders who want to grow healthier and thrive.”
The Annual Gathering will not only be an opportunity for fellowship with ministry partners & friends, wonderful renewing worship, along with several relevant workshops on topics:
1. Creating a Culture of Discipleship in the Local Church – J. R. Briggs
2. Leadership Succession Planning – Mark Eaton & Kevin Hairston
3. Strategies for Strengthening Your Church’s Financial Future – Christine Roush
Benjamin Payne and his praise band will be leading us in worship. Dr. Seth Fallon, Ohio Leadership Academy Dean recognized graduate(s) followed by a reception.
