Pastor Richard Runion Installed

On Sunday, March 2, 2008, Richard Runion was installed as the pastor of the Torch Baptist Church, Marietta Association. He served as the co-interim for 18 months before being called as pastor. Ordination of Rev. Robert Joseph Parrott

On January 27, 2008, Sawmill Baptist Church celebrated an Ordination Service for Rev. Robert Joseph Parrott. Sawmill Baptist is in Powell (Columbus Baptist Association), Rev. David Nuhfer, Pastor.

Rev. Peter McCurdy Installed

Congratulations to Rev. McCurdy as he was installed as Pastor of First Baptist Church in Painesville on Sunday, January 20, 2008.

Participants in the Installation Service were Rev. Robert Cunningham, Rev. Paul McCurdy (Peter’s father), Bev Keyes, and Rev. Robert Cassady (Minister of Congregational Development Central Northeast).

Former Ohio Baptist Convention President Passes

Anna Jane Massie, age 94, of St. Paris, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 18, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She worked as the secretary at the First Baptist Church St. Paris. She was also president of Ohio Baptist Convention (OBC), served with her husband Francis on the Board of Trustees of OBC and served on several sub-committees. Anna Jane was President and Secretary of American Baptist Women Western Association and served as chairman of White Cross OBC. On the 50th anniversary year she traveled all over Ohio and went to many churches speaking and promoting White Cross. Anna Jane served on every board and committee at First Baptist Church St. Paris and sang in the choir. She also taught a Bible Study Group for St. Paris senior citizens.
